Plan Adoption - Merced Regional Multimodal Access Plan

Street View of the Proposed Mobility Hub

The Merced County Association of Governments I MCAG adopted the Merced Regional Multimodal Access Plan (MRMAP), which identifies 18 multimodal transportation projects connecting into Downtown Merced. Projects ranged from an Express Bus route connecting University of California, Merced, Merced Community College District, and Downtown Merced to micro transit zones and active transportation projects. Carolina Ilic, MCP, AICP of VRPA Technologies, Inc. served as project manager of this innovative transportation planning effort, leading a team of experts from Via, Citythinkers, EPS (Economic Planning Services), and ETS (Elite Transportation Services) to prepare existing conditions, conduct community outreach, identify transit, micro transit, bike, and pedestrian projects that provide enhanced access to future rail stations in City of Livingston, City of Atwater, and City of Merced, identify mobility hubs, prepare visual simulations, and conduct a Benefit Cost Analysis. VRPA Technologies, Inc. is proud of this innovative multimodal planning effort, and hopes to see their inclusion in the next Merced County Association of Governments I MCAG Regional Transportation Plan/Sustainable Communities Strategy for future implementation.
