Draft Merced County Transportation Network Vulnerability Assessment

Draft Merced County Transportation Network Vulnerability Assessment

Excited to see the Draft Merced County Transportation Network Vulnerability Assessment officially released for public review by the Merced County Association of Governments I MCAG.

Our team at VRPA Technologies, Inc. has been proud to support this important effort as a subconsultant alongside WSP, helping engage communities throughout Merced County on transportation resilience and climate adaptation planning.

The draft assessment evaluates how climate-related impacts such as wildfires, extreme heat, and severe precipitation may affect the region’s transportation network while identifying strategies that can strengthen long-term resilience, sustainability, and community connectivity.

We’re grateful for the opportunity to contribute through public engagement, bilingual outreach efforts, community surveys, and pop-up events that helped bring local voices into the planning process. Community input continues to play a critical role in shaping transportation solutions that are resilient, equitable, and future-focused.

Thank you to Merced County Association of Governments I MCAG, WSP, partner agencies, stakeholders, and community members who contributed to this effort. Looking forward to seeing the project continue moving forward.

The draft plan and appendices may be accessed here: https://lnkd.in/gB3y73a3 or comments on the Draft TNVA may be submitted to meg.prince@mcagov.org through May 29.
