A special recognition to Dr. Aly Tawfik for his leadership, vision, and continued commitment to fostering innovation and applied research in transportation. His work in building strong industry–academic collaboration and creating opportunities for students to engage in real-world challenges was clearly reflected throughout the event.
The presentation showcased an impressive range of student-led projects focused on transportation systems, sustainability, safety, emerging technology, and community impact across California and beyond. It was inspiring to see the depth of research and creativity students brought forward, along with the real-world potential of their ideas to influence the future of mobility and transportation planning.
