Welcoming Georgina Franco to VRPA Technologies, Inc

Georgina Franco City Hall

We’re thrilled to announce that Georgina Franco has joined VRPA Tech! And yes, the name might ring a bell… we now officially have two versions: Georgiena and Georgina (same vibe, just missing the “e” 😄). To keep things simple, our new Georgina goes by Gina!

Gina is a 2025 graduate in Architectural Studies from California State University, Fresno, where she brough creativity, research rigor, and real-world impact to campus design work.

While at Fresno State, Gina had the opportunity to collaborate with the Fresno State Transportation Institute (FSTI), Fresno Area Express (FAX) and Fresno State Intelligent Design Visualization Lab on a major research and design initiative to address Fresno’s extreme summer heat. As part of a multidisciplinary student team, she helped develop innovative shaded bus shelter concepts aimed at improving comfort and usability for transit riders throughout the city — designs that were presented to City Hall in the City of Fresno, selected for prototyping, and are slated for field testing.

Gina’s experience blending community-centered design thinking with hands-on technical work makes her a natural fit for VRPA’s mission at the intersection of technology, design, and positive societal impact. We’re excited to have her on the team (and to keep us all on our toes with the name game 😉)!
