A Public Engagement Weekend!

Transportation Planning Public Engagement

Public engagement was the name of the game this weekend! VRPA’s Carolina Ilic, Hector Guerra, and Ryan Vivan were out in force at the Merced County Fair and the Old Town Clovis Farmers Market ensuring that we heard directly from local residents for our Merced Regional Multimodal Access Plan (MRMAP) and Transportation Network Vulnerability Assessment (TNVA) projects with Merced County Association of Governments and WSP staff; our Extreme Heat Analysis and Shade Adaptation Plan project with Fresno Council of Governments and Dudek staff; and the California High Speed Rail project with California High-Speed Rail Authority and VMA staff. These planning projects are important pieces of the transportation puzzle, and receiving input from people that are already at these events ensures that these projects are informed by local opinions. More outreach is on the way, including additional pop-up events and public workshops.
