APA Central California Award of Excellence for the 2026 Transportation Planning Award

We are honored to receive the APA Central California (CenCal APA) Award of Excellence for the 2026 Transportation Planning Award. This prestigious recognition is awarded to the Merced County Association of Governments I MCAG and VRPA Technologies, Inc. for the recently completed Merced Regional Multimodal Access Plan (MRMAP).🏆

This award recognizes the hard work, dedication, and public outreach involved in creating this transportation plan that will increase multimodal transportation options and improve the quality of life for residents in Merced.

A huge congratulations to Elizabeth Forte, Meg Prince, and Shunyi H from the Merced County Association of Governments I MCAG and Carolina Ilic, MCP, AICP from VRPA Technologies, Inc for their outstanding efforts in leading this project to success.

Other partners critical to this effort included Diego Velasco from Citythinkers, Nate Jakobs from EPS, and Lawrence Liao from Elite Transportation Group, Inc. We are proud to see this planning initiative make a positive difference in the local community, and we are excited to explore next steps.
