San Joaquin Council of Governments (SJCOG) Flood Adaptation Strategy for State Route 4

VRPA Technologies, Inc. is proud to support the San Joaquin Council of Governments (SJCOG) Flood Adaptation Strategy for State Route 4 — an important effort focused on strengthening transportation resilience in the San Joaquin Delta.

In partnership with Caltrans District 4 and 10, this project will help identify strategies and priority improvements to better prepare SR-4 for future flood risks, support evacuation planning, and improve regional mobility and safety.

In collaboration with WSP, VRPA Technologies, Inc. is leading stakeholder and public engagement efforts, including:

🔹 Community outreach and workshops
🔹 Bilingual engagement materials
🔹 Public surveys and feedback collection
🔹 Coordination with local stakeholders, agricultural interests, and water resource agencies
🔹 Support for adaptation strategy development, alternatives evaluation, and emergency evacuation strategies

We’re excited to contribute to a project that prioritizes resilience, collaboration, and long-term community benefits in this area straddling both San Joaquin and Contra Costa counties.
