Madera Rail Corridor Improvement Study
Connecting with the Madera Community! VRPA Technologies, Inc. was proud to participate in the Booths in the Park event that took place after the Old Timers Parade in the City of Madera to support outreach for the Rail Corridor Improvement Study.
Georgiena Vivian, President, Georgina Franco, Planning and Outreach Technician, and Clara Corl, Assistant Transportation Planner, staffed the VRPA booth and had the opportunity to connect directly with Madera residents and community members. We heard about their experiences, concerns, and ideas related to the Union Pacific Railroad crossings from Cleveland Avenue to 9th Street.
These conversations are an important part of understanding how the railroad corridor and its crossings affect the community. Hearing directly from residents helps bring local perspectives into the planning process and supports a study that reflects the needs and experiences of the people who live, work, and travel throughout Madera.
Thank you to everyone who stopped by our booth, shared their experiences, and took the time to participate!
