Fresno County Extreme Heat Analysis and Shade Adaptation Plan Public Outreach

Fresno County Transportation Planning Project Public Outreach Event

This week, VRPA and Dudek launched our public outreach efforts for the Fresno Council of Governments Extreme Heat Analysis and Shade Adaptation Planning Effort. Our first event was at the River Park Farmers Market in north Fresno. This important project aims to develop guidance on increasing vegetation and shade projects for key transportation corridors in Fresno County, particularly for active transportation facilities where pedestrians, bicyclists, and transit riders are directly affected. We received great feedback and look forward to more community comments at our next upcoming events during June, including a virtual workshop on June 17th at 10 a.m. Register for the virtual workshop and take the Extreme Heat survey to provide your feedback.
